Please help bring another dynamic story about David to life! This time David Kareem’s learning an important lesson in customer service! In 2020 David journeyed alongside his father to see where his dollar can go and how charity can help people in our first book David’s Dollar. 

This time around David’s mother Halima will show him the ropes about treating customers right and sales. The Big Yard Sale is something David wants to take part in. But does he have what it takes to give customers what they want? We’ll find out soon!

As they practice selling things and ideas, your child gets expertise in handling money, making change, tracking cash flow, marketing her product, negotiating, identifying and meeting needs, being verbal and being confident.

According to the American Journal of Public Health, Social and emotional skills at an early age also predict future academic and job success. Kindergarten students with higher social and emotional competence are:

• 54% more likely to earn a high school diploma
• Twice as likely to attain a college degree
• 46% more likely to have a full-time job at age 25

Telling Our Stories is an Obligation

As a Black Muslim father it's always been important to have things to read to my children that featured dynamic stories. Being a writer has given me the ability to put a book in the world that adds to the values in children's literature many parents look for. 
 

Anything helps.

Our financial burdens are many times different. We aren't always able to give the same. That said, from a penny to a pool of money, it all helps us finally be able to get our hands on David's Dollar.
